Jer, Josie and I went to the movies the other night. While we were leaving Jer spotted Santa on a fire truck. He made us hurry up and get in the jeep, because he was determined to find that Santa! Partly because he wanted to see it again, and partly because he didn't want us to think he was seeing things. After circling the Rio a few times we spotted him, they pulled up right next to us so that the wonderful photographer Jeremy Bowers could take a quick shot. He was the skinniest santa I've ever seen, and we were convinced he lost a bet at the station and this was his punishment. Gotta love Christmas cheer.

different kind of sleigh

The Laytonsville FD always comes up our street with sirens blaring and Santa (dressed like the Grinch) waving on the back of the hook and ladder. Christmas cheer and heart attack all in one loud package.
